HoHA have been working in the Bagong Barrio communities Manila since 1995. HoHA offered the community training in basic Myotherapy. Over 50 health-workers were trained and many of these graduates now work as credited massage therapists and some as licensed massage therapists. In more recent years, the Train-the-Trainer program evolved into the first HoHA Sustainable Treatment and Training program (STTEP) program.
During 2009, 21,388 treatments were performed on 4339 patients. One master trainer now teaches Myotherapy in the HoHA STTEP program in Pnom Penh Cambodia. A new training program is being developed with the local training organisation Asiatech to deliver nationally accredited Massage Therapy qualifications.
