The Alby Clarke, AO Scholarship is part of Hands on Health Australia’s mission to assist those that are disadvantaged with particular emphasis on Aboriginal Students, as part of HoHA’s program: Aboriginal Health in Aboriginal Hands (AHAH). Through the establishment of this Scholarship, it is intended to help young people to continue in education, with an emphasis, on Health and Biomedical Sciences.
As an Elder, Alby, believes that more is required to support our young people with education and employment pathways. Through this scholarship, HoHA in partnership with the Clarke Family hopes that this educational scholarship will help to build a strong, positive sense of identity and connection to culture, community and place so that successful recipients can make a successful transition into tertiary education and lead full, healthy vibrant lives.
As an elder and an older person, Alby, believes that we should all be there for our children and youth. This is a partnership between Hands on Health Australia and Alby Clarke, AO, and Alby’s daughter, April Clarke.
