We are deeply saddened to announce that John Sweaney passed away on Wednesday 13th, March.
John’s commitment, pathos and passion were the source of his dedication to Hands on Health Australia. He promoted the interests of disadvantaged communities, women and had a special interest in Aboriginal health.
John is remembered by us as a warm and caring friend, and as a dedicated individual who always gave his best. We remember him for his love of life, travel and family. He will be remembered as a wonderful colleague who gave freely of his time, advice and expertise.
At times like this, we are reminded that an organisation like ours, is truly a family, and that we must rely on one another and support one another in this journey. Our heartfelt thoughts are with his wife, Inger and family, and to all who were touched by his caring nature.
