Sky News host Alan Jones has spoken with psychologist Dr Sam Ginsberg who is a patron of Hands on Health Australia, a medium sized charity which works with society’s disadvantaged.
The charity looks after 80,000 disadvantaged people in the community every year, providing physical and mental health services, as well as wellbeing programs and financial and legal counsel.
For the first time in its 35-year history, Hands on Health Australia is reaching out to the community at large for assistance amid the coronavirus pandemic.
“Simply, to assist a worthy charity who want to assist others,” Mr Jones said.
“With the decrease in running funding programs, our funding’s decreased hugely,” Dr Ginsberg told Sky News host Alan Jones. “There’s a myriad of problems that are existing that are increased by this coronavirus.”
