Koori Knockout

Hands-on Health Australia has supported the annual Koori Knockout in New South Wales by delivering a pop-up clinic in partnership with the National Rugby League and student practitioners from Macquarie University. Held alongside one of the largest Aboriginal sporting gatherings in the country, the clinic has provided care to players, support staff, and community members over the course of the multi-day carnival.

The initiative has created a unique, real-world learning environment for final-year Chiropractic students, enabling them to treat a wide range of acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions in a dynamic sporting context. For many attendees—particularly those from rural and regional communities—the clinic has offered rare access to hands-on physical therapies, while also fostering meaningful connections between practitioners and community.
